A video review of the Nokia N900 Maemo smartphone. This is Nokia’s first Linux based Maemo 5 smartphone. It’s unlocked GSM quad band with EDGE and it has 3G on T-Mobile’s US bands and Euro 3G. The N900 has Cortex A8 CPU with 3D graphics acceleration, a 5 megapixel camera, 800 x 480 pixel touch screen, QWERTY keyboard and 32 gigs storage. It also has GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. God its like a brick lol
The keyboard could slide out so much more, same with the droid
droid
n97 looks better
go damn it..nokia n900 the best phone eeeverrrrrrr..
wtf, this is like a mini computer
I’m going to have to say Droid (besides, if you’re on verizon n900 doesn’t work) for now. N900 is a hacker’s mobile computing device, that happens to make phone calls.
@Polpot12able
depends on what carrier your on, the N900 can be on ATT or T-mobile, not verizon, but the 3g will only work on tmobile, but yo can still use edge on ATT.
the Droid is only on verizon and can’t be used on any other carrier in the US.
@elcorodr
unfortunately no, it’s only for GSM networks. i hope it comes to verizon soon though.
@rumeothesecond you are right. it’s like UNIX OS runs better on the same hardware that Windows OS runs sluggish and slow. But still, now that the 1GHZ SnapDragon CPU is out there, I think it would be better to wait and see if Nokia will upgrade the N900 hardware with a CPU that will compete with it, or to just hope they’ll use the SnapDragon in their next N900 upgrade
(+ more RAM!)
does it work in portrait? or does it have a g-sensor?
wow another useless brick
@coresh1973 comparing the MHz from different OS simply doesn’t make sense. As the OSes are so different, this fact counts much more than the pure Clock frequency.
@dagisto1987 it would suck up more battery if they did, it has naemo so its quick enough
can you put this phone with verizon ?
@Polpot12able
The n900 ofcourse. Its an amazing phone
Ordered mine yesterday
Wat do u think..
Motorola Droid or N900 ??
Need a reply fast cause looking for a phone immediately.
@pink3able I have this phone also, the phone is ok the only let done for me is that it cant perform simple tasks like copy and past any text on a web page. All it does is zoom in when you try. I guess they did not think of the simple things when making this phone.
@dagisto1987 I’m not trying to criticise ur comment but I just wanted to know why u think the phone shouldn’t run on that processor
@Frostlance I believe you are gay
i have the n900 n is super fast n does almost everything a pc can do
I honestly can not understand why this phone is considered as fast in most reviews. It seems quite slow, web page loads after a few seconds(!), it takes few seconds to loads every application. The only phone seems to be fairly fast is the HTC HD2, really. I my self doesn’t have any smart phone, I have the old Nokia 6021, and I am looking for replacing it, but still haven’t found a non-full touch screen(I would have bought the HD2 if it had a real keyboard panel) that is fast enough for me.
they should’ve put the snapdragon 1ghz in it….
I love this nokia n900 mobile computer
I had it n900. This n900 is a best mobile computer In your pocket computer.
iphone3gs it sucks.
Was awsome review
