This is footage from the Canon Powershot D10 while underwater during my visit to the Yucatan. nothing spectacular, just some fish. My review of the camera is a 3.5 out of 5. Picture quality is GREAT Ease of use is GOOD Battery life is GREAT…. Used it during the flight from DFW to MEX city to Cancun, then at the beach, then today, 2 days of continous use and only now is the battery low. Durability… so far so good but this is where theres a problem. –Currently my Canon Powershot D10’s cover for the USB is allowing water to become trapped in the area but keeps a seal around the actual USB plug. This will become a problem should water thats in the area flow into the USB plug when opening. Also the only way to dry out this water is to open the cover. I will be contacting Canon about this though to make sure i didnt get a faulty one.

Here is a reef dive I did from the H10 Ocean resort hotel in Puerto Morelos Mexico. The dive operation sold the video to us at the end of our vacation. Note: I did not film or edit this, I was on these dives and I am the one with the red fins taking pictures with a housed Olympus camera. Water was warm, 82f

El Chimo Dive (Puerto Vallarta)

I wanted to test my Canon camera underwater, hoping to see some tropical life, eventually it happened to be The Most Boring Dive I’ve ever been to. I believe there might be stuff to see in Puerto Vallarta’s underwater world, but I strongly suggest to avoid Chico’s Dive Shop (unless of course things changed since our January 07 trip). Extremely expensive for what you get, no life jacket on the boat, no oxygen on the boat, failing engine in small tight boat, bad time management by Chico’s stuff. We were supposed to dive 5 days, after first day — decided to chill at the bar.
