[Note: 40d is only lightly weather sealed, while this flash and the 1d - series of Canon EOS Slr's are completely weatherproofed, also only L-Series lenses are weatherproofed as well] *Lever style lock, (easier than the old screw style lock) + Locking pin on the hotshoe.
